| Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the fatal shooting of a man found at 9411 Allwood Street about 10:50 p.m. on August 28, 2018.
The suspect, Wilbert Ford (b/m, 25), is charged with capital murder in the 182nd State District Court. He is accused in the death of Kenneth Wayne Breedlove, 58, who died at the scene.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant A. Turner reported:
A family member found Mr. Breedlove unresponsive inside his residence at the above address. Paramedics arrived and pronounced Breedlove dead. He had suffered at least one gunshot wound.
Investigators were told Breedlove was last seen about 9 p.m. There were signs of forced entry to the home and evidence that items were stolen from the residence.
Further investigation identified Ford as the suspect in this case. He was taken into custody on Thursday (May 30) without incident.
