Houston police have released surveillance video of a vehicle sought in a fatal in a hit-and-run crash that occurred at 1600 Houston Avenue about 9:10 p.m. on November 19.
The vehicle is described only as a white sedan of unknown make or model. Surveillance video of the vehicle is attached to this news release.
The victim is identified as James Midkiff, 36.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant D. Rose and Officer T. Syed reported:
Mr. Midkiff was riding a bicycle southbound at the above address and approaching a railway intersection when he was struck from behind by a white sedan. The driver failed to stop to render aid and fled the scene southbound on Houston Avenue, traveling toward the North Freeway (North Interstate Highway 45).
Paramedics transported Midkiff to Memorial Hermann – Texas Medical Center in critical condition. Doctors pronounced him deceased on November 22.
At this time, there is no known description of the suspect driver.
