UPDATE: Surveillance Video In Fatal Shooting At 8503 North Freeway

Houston police are asking for the public's help in identifying four suspects wanted in the fatal shooting of a man at 8503 North Freeway (North Interstate Highway 45) about 2:30 a.m. on March 14.

The suspects are described as four Hispanic males in their mid 20s, about 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighing about 170 pounds.  One suspect wore a gray hooded sweatshirt, dark pants and dark-colored tennis shoes.  The second suspect wore a dark hooded sweatshirt, a white shirt with print on the front, dark pants and dark-colored tennis shoes.  The third suspect wore a tan baseball cap, dark hooded jacket, light T-shirt, jeans and light-colored shoes.  The fourth suspect wore a maroon-colored sweater, dark pants and dark-colored tennis shoes.

The victim, Gabriel Castaneda, Jr., 29, was pronounced dead at the scene.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant W. Elsbury and Detective K. Elliot reported:

According to witnesses, a disturbance occurred in the rear parking lot of the Fantasy Plaza Club at the above address. The disturbance escalated when the suspect got into a blue GMC pickup truck and fired at least one shot from the vehicle, striking Mr. Castaneda.  The suspect vehicle then fled the scene.

After the shooting, Castaneda drove away from the scene and collapsed in his vehicle in the 600 block of Dewalt.  Houston Fire Department paramedics responded and pronounced him deceased.
