Houston police have released surveillance video and a composite sketch of suspects wanted in the fatal shooting of a man at 3100 Fairdale Lane about 6:40 p.m. on January 11.
One suspect is described as a Hispanic male about 6 feet tall, in his 20s and wearing a hoodie. A composite sketch of the suspect is attached to this news release. Surveillance video of the suspects can be viewed on the HPD YouTube channel at https://youtu.be/9UvXQH0dAZs
The victim identified as Andres Chan, 61, was pronounced dead at the scene.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives C. Arrington and E. Rossow reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a reported shooting at the above address and found Mr. Chan lying on the sidewalk. Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced him deceased.
Witnesses reported seeing Chan walking with his son when they were approached by two unknown Hispanic males. One of the suspects produced a firearm and attempted to rob them. Chan refused to surrender his property and was shot by one of the suspects. Both suspects then fled in a silver or tan four-door sedan, driven by a third unidentified Hispanic male.
