UPDATE: Surveillance Photos of Vehicle of Interest in Fatal Shooting at 11211 Almeda Genoa Road

Houston police have released surveillance photos of a vehicle of interest wanted in connection to the fatal shooting of a man at 11211 Almeda Genoa Road about 8:55 a.m. on Thursday (December 5).

The vehicle is described as a burgundy Kia Optima. Surveillance photos of the vehicle are attached to this news release.

The identity of the victim, 45, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant C. Duncan and Detective V. Nguyen reported:

HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting call at a gas station at the above address after a man arrived and told an employee he had been shot.  Officers provided medical assistance until Houston Fire Department paramedics arrived and transported the victim to HCA Houston Healthcare Clear Lake, where he was pronounced deceased.

Further investigation determined the victim was shot while in his vehicle, which had multiple bullet strikes.  Detectives learned an individual(s) in a burgundy Kia Optima might have information on the shooting.

At this time, there is no known motive or suspect(s).
