Houston police have released surveillance photos of the suspects involved in the fatal shooting of a man at 5003 Antoine Drive about 1:40 p.m. on Thursday (October 24).
The victim, Francis Hazzard, 68, was transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital where he was pronounced deceased. HPD Homicide Division Officers E. Martinez and R. Montalvo reported: HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting call at a restaurant at the above address and found Mr. Hazzard had been shot. Paramedics transported him to the hospital. Further investigation determined Hazzard, a Loomis Cash Handling Company security guard, arrived in an armored truck to the restaurant. As he exited the restaurant with a black money bag in his hand, he was approached by three suspects with their faces covered and armed with weapons. One suspect pointed a gun at Hazzard and both men struggled for the black bag. The suspect fired one shot, striking Hazzard in the face. Hazzard fell to the ground and dropped the bag and his weapon. The suspects fled immediately after the gunshot, but one returned and grabbed the black bag. All three suspects fled the scene in a champagne-colored Chevrolet Tahoe, which was later recovered in the 5100 block of Viking Street. It is believed the suspects got into a 2014 black Chevrolet Impala and fled in an unknown direction. The suspects are described only as three black males. Anyone recognizing the suspects shown in the attached photos or with information in this case is urged to contact the HPD Homicide Division at 713-308-3600 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
