Houston police have learned the identity of a man fatally shot at 6300 Werner Street about 10 p.m. on July 7.
A composite sketch of the victim, Cristian Alexi Alegria-Ramos, 25, is attached to this news release. Investigators were able to learn his identity through the Mexican Consulate, however have been unable to locate any pictures, family or friends. Detectives are asking anyone who knew Alegria-Ramos to contact the HPD Homicide Division.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant K. Meek and Detectives M. Perez and M. Barrow reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting call at 306 Sunnyside Street and found the victim (Mr. Alegria-Ramos) lying on the east side of the roadway near an apartment complex in the 6300 block of Werner Street. Houston Fire Department paramedics attempted medical aid, but then pronounced the victim deceased. The man had suffered at least one gunshot wound.
At this time, there are no known witnesses or suspects.
