Charges have been filed against three suspects in the fatal shooting of a man found at 9700 Leawood Boulevard about 1:20 p.m. on February 19.
One suspect, Ubong Esiere, 34, is charged with murder in the 486th State District Court. A 2023 photo of Esiere, who is not in custody, is attached to this news release.
Another suspect, Tracy Burleson, 32, is charged with murder in the 179th State District Court. A booking photo of Burleson is attached to this news release.
A third suspect, Mackenly Nohemy Palomo Medina, 23, is charged with burglary in the 232nd State District Court. A booking photo of Palomo Medina is attached to this news release.
The victim is identified as Terry Meza Jr., 34.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeants M. Burrow and R. Watson reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting at an apartment complex at the above address and found an unresponsive male who had been shot. Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and transported the male to an area hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
Further investigation identified three suspects in this incident. On February 25, Palomo Medina was arrested. On February 27, Burleson was arrested. They are both charged for their roles in this incident.
On Wednesday (March 5), Esiere was charged for his role in this incident. He is not in custody.
