Houston police are asking for the public’s help in identifying an individual wanted for questioning in the case of human remains found at 10611 F.M. 1960 about 10:10 a.m. on March 24.
The identity of the remains is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD is seeking anyone with information on the identity of a male seen in the area two weeks prior to the victim’s discovery. He is described only as being in his early to mid-20s with short dark brown hair and long bangs that went across his face. He is about 5 feet 4 inches to 5 feet 8 inches tall, with light skin and was wearing a gray and black plaid shirt. He was driving a teal or bluish green Chevrolet Silverado extended cab pickup truck. The back left passenger window was broken and had what appeared to be cardboard over the window. The truck is described as having lots of rust and looking as if it had been wrecked several times. HPD Homicide Division Detectives A. Barr and M. Perez reported:
HPD Marine Patrol officers were flagged down by witnesses regarding a suspicious black trash bag found by volunteers picking up trash along a bridge near the above address. Officers saw what appeared to be human hair in the bag. HPD homicide investigators responded to the scene and confirmed human remains in an advanced state of decomposition inside the bag.
Witnesses later reported seeing a white male (described above) on the bridge at the above address about two weeks before the bag was found. The male exited the truck from the front passenger side and then threw a black plastic bag off the bridge.
