WHERE: 1600 block of Prairie Grove Dr. 77077.
INJURIES: No reported injuries.
PROPERTY SAVED: $260,000 in estimated property saved.
DAMAGE: $40,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: HFD Arson investigators ruled the cause as accidental (improperly discarded smoking materials).
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene to find smoke coming from the second floor of a 2-story townhouse. They made an offensive attack and conducted a primary search. The fire was quickly extinguished with damage to the patio area and minor damage inside the residence. HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin of the fire. 23 personnel responded to this incident, including crews from Stations 69, 83, 57 and 69.
