WHAT: Townhome fire.
WHEN: February 10, 2025, at 11:45 a.m.
WHERE: 1500 block of Sherwood Forest St. 77043.
INJURIES: No reported injuries.
PROPERTY SAVED: Not available.
DAMAGE: $50,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Under investigation.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene to find smoke coming from the second floor of a townhome with a report of someone inside. The crews forced entry and conducted a primary search. No one was found. They made an offensive attack on the fire, controlled the utilities and searched the adjoining townhomes. The fire was extinguished and HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin of the fire. The American Red Cross responded to assist the residents. 53 personnel responded to this incident, including crews from Stations 69, 2, 15, 5, 28, 68, 78, 83, 57, 75, 77, 73 and Rescue 10.
