WHAT: Townhome fire.
WHEN: March 30, 2023 at 9:19 p.m.
WHERE: 1400 block of Missouri St. 77006.
INJURIES: One civilian treated on scene with a minor injury.
PROPERTY SAVED: $827,000 in estimated property saved.
DAMAGE: $125,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Accidental (careless disposal of smoking material).
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within five minutes to find a car burning in the garage of a 3-story townhome and made an offensive attack. They conducted a primary search and extinguished the fire. HFD EMS treated one civilian on scene for a minor injury. HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin of the fire. Crews from Stations 7, 16, 6 and 8 responded to this incident.
