WHAT: Townhome Fire
WHEN: March 17, 2022 at 2:51 p.m.
WHERE: 6400 block of Burgoyne, 77057
INJURIES: One deceased civilian was found.

CAUSE: Under investigation.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within five minutes to find fire coming from the garage and rear of a townhome and made an offensive attack. The utilities were secured, and the home was ventilated. A primary search was conducted with one person reported still inside the residence. Once the fire in the home was controlled, crews worked to extinguish the fire consuming the garage and an individual was found deceased. HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin. The American Red Cross was contacted, and crews remained on scene to provide manpower and lighting for the arson investigation. Firefighters from Stations 28, 68, 60, 2, 51, 3 and Rehab 17 responded to this incident.
