WHAT: Townhome fire.
WHEN: October 4, 2023, at 3:52 a.m.
WHERE: 11300 block of Harwin Dr. 77072.
INJURIES: One civilian was treated to the hospital and two cats given oxygen.
PROPERTY SAVED: Not available.
DAMAGE: $150,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: HFD Arson investigators ruled the cause as accidental.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within five minutes to find heavy smoke and fire coming from a 2-story townhome with a report of someone trapped inside. They conducted a primary search and found the resident. The resident was transported to the hospital in serious condition. Two cats were provided oxygen and were walking around before the crews left. Firefighters ventilated the roof and extinguished the fire. HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin. 48 personnel were dispatched to this incident, including crews from Stations 69, 2, 15, 68, 83, 10, 60, 75, 76, 57, Rescue 10 and Rehab 17.
