REVISION: Suspects Wanted in Fatal Shooting at 215 West Little York Road

Houston police are asking for the public’s help in identifying two suspects wanted in the fatal shooting of one man and the wounding of another at 215 West Little York Road about 9 p.m. on Wednesday (October 23).

The suspects are described only as two Hispanic males between 30 to 40 years of age.  They were seen driving a red Ford Explorer.  A photo of the suspects is attached to this news release.

One victim, Augustin Martinez, 48, was pronounced dead at the scene.  The second male victim, 45, suffered a gunshot wound to the shoulder and was transported to an area hospital where he is expected to survive.

HPD Homicide Division Detectives J. Brown and C. Sharp reported:

Mr. Martinez, a tow truck driver, was giving a ride to a customer when he got into a verbal altercation with two males in a red Ford Explorer at an apartment complex parking lot at the above address.  The suspects became hostile and one of them pulled a pistol.and fired multiple shots from inside the vehicle at the wrecker and struck Martinez and his customer.  Martinez attempted to flee, but crashed his vehicle and died at the scene.  Paramedics transported the customer to the hospital.

Martinez managed to take the attached photo of both suspects prior to the shooting.
