Suspects Arrested, Charged in Shooting at 8300 Bellaire Boulevard

Charges have been filed against two suspects arrested in a shooting that occurred at 8300 Bellaire Boulevard about 12:55 a.m. on April 30th.

A suspect, Abraham Cordova, 17, is charged with aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon in the 174th State District Court. A booking photo of Cordova is attached to this news release.

A second suspect, 15, has been referred to the Harris County Juvenile Probation Authorities on a charge of aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon.

The victim, 45, was not injured in the shooting.

HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Detectives Z. Brumley and J. Cimeni reported:

A victim was exiting his vehicle at the above address when another vehicle pulled in front of him. The victim told investigators Cordova and the juvenile suspect exited the vehicle and pointed a gun at him. He produced a gun and fired at the suspects, who fled in a maroon Dodge Charger.

HPD patrol officers later located the suspect vehicle and observed the juvenile suspect suffering from a gunshot wound to his left shoulder. Paramedics transported him to a local hospital in stable condition.

After further investigation, HPD officers arrested the juvenile suspect on Monday (June 13) and Cordova on Wednesday (June 15).
