Suspect Wanted in Fatal Shooting at 17030 Imperial Valley Drive Found Deceased

A suspect charged and wanted in the fatal shooting of a woman at 17030 Imperial Valley Drive about 6 a.m. on July 13 is believed to be deceased.

The suspect, Alberto Ayala Guerrero (H/m, 55), is charged with murder in the 351st State District Court.

The victim is identified as Yenisleydi Dominguez, 32.

HPD Homicide Division Detectives D. Crowder and A. Vinogradov reported:

HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting at the above address and found Ms. Dominguez deceased inside her apartment.  She had been shot.

A preliminary investigation determined Ayala Guerrero assaulted his estranged wife and her brother who were staying at Ms. Dominguez’s apartment.  Ayala Guerrero then shot Dominguez.  He fled the scene on foot and was believed to be possibly driving a white Kenworth dump truck with no license plates.

Further investigation determined Ayala Guerrero fled to Brockville, Ontario, Canada in a Honda Civic.  After a brief pursuit with Brockville Police Service officers, Ayala Guerro jumped off an overpass into moving lanes of traffic.  He was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
