Charges have been filed against a suspect wanted in the shooting of a man that occurred at 1050 West Rankin Road about 3:25 a.m. on September 5.
The suspect, Christopher Price (b/m, 31), is charged with aggravated assault of a security officer and felon in possession of a weapon in the 184th State District Court. He remains at-large. A recent booking photo of Price is attached to this news release.
The victim, Burnell Breaux, 46, was transported to an area hospital where he was treated and released.
HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Officers A. Graf and B. Salazar reported:
Mr. Breaux was sitting in his vehicle outside a nightclub at the above address when the suspect, a patron at the club, started firing shots at Breaux. There was no known verbal or physical altercation between Breaux and the suspect prior to the shooting. Paramedics transported Breaux to the hospital.
Further investigation identified the suspect as Christopher Price and, on September 11, he was charged for his role in the incident.
