Suspect Charged, Wanted in Stabbing at 11215 Vailview Drive

Charges have been filed against a suspect wanted in the stabbing of a man at 11215 Vailview Drive about 9:10 p.m. on Monday (May 27).

The suspect, Andre Arvin Shaw, 25, is charged with aggravated assault of a family member in the 351st State District Court.  A May 2022 booking photo of Shaw, who is not in custody,  is attached to this news release.

The victim, 30, was transported to an area hospital in stable condition.

HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Detective J. Wiltz reported:

According to the victim, as he attempted to break up a physical altercation between his sisters, Shaw – his brother – approached him with a kitchen knife.  The victim stated he knocked the knife out of Shaw’s hand and walked away, as the fight had stopped.

The victim went into a bedroom to retrieve his belongings to leave.  As he turned to walk out of the bedroom, he saw Shaw standing behind another family member.  The victim then stated Shaw reached over the family member and struck him in the head with the knife at least three times.  The suspect then fled the scene.

Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and transported the victim to the hospital.
