Suspect Charged, Wanted in Shooting at 9834 Meadowglen Lane

Charges have been filed against a suspect wanted in the shooting of a man at 9834 Meadowglen Lane about 10:45 p.m. on June 12.

The suspect, David Justin Williams, 33, is charged with felony deadly conduct in the 351st State District Court.  A Texas Driver License photo of Williams, who is not in custody, is attached to this news release.

The victim, 39, was transported to an area hospital in stable condition and was treated and released.

HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Detectives M. Bellahna and V. Jones reported:

HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting near at a store near the above address and found the victim with a graze wound.  He was transported by Houston Fire Department paramedics to the hospital.

A preliminary investigation and witness statements determined the victim saw two males crossing Meadowglen lane when one of the males pulled out a gun and fired several shots at an unknown male in front of a grocery store. The victim was in the parking lot and was grazed by one of the rounds fired.  The unknown male returned fire.  Officers later became aware of a male with gunshot wounds, later identified as Williams, was transported by private vehicle to a local hospital.

The Harris County District Attorney’s Office was contacted and Williams was charged for his role in the incident.  Williams remains at large.
