| Charges have been filed against a suspect wanted in the shooting of a woman at 9601 West Montgomery about 1:45 a.m. on Saturday (November 18).
The suspect, Demetris Lewis (b/m, 26), is charged with aggravated assault/family violence in the 176th State District Court. He is accused in the shooting of Raquel White, 26, who was transported to an area hospital where she was treated for her wounds.

HPD Major Assaults Unit Officers S. Ragsdale and R. Montalvo reported:
Ms. White was sitting in her vehicle at an apartment complex at the above address when Lewis approached her driver's side window armed with a gun. He tapped the gun on the window and then fired a shot, striking White in the shoulder. Lewis then fled the scene. White was transported by HFD paramedics to the hospital in stable condition.
Further investigation determined White was in a dating relationship with Lewis.
