Charges have been filed against a suspect wanted in the shooting of a man at 5644 Market Street about 1:05 a.m. on Tuesday (May 7).
The suspect, Arturo Loredo-Gutierrez, 42, is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in the 248th State District Court. A 2023 booking photo of Loredo-Gutierrez, who is not in custody, is attached to this news release.
The male victim, 20, was transported to an area hospital in stable condition.
HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Detective V. Garza reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting call at an apartment complex at the above address and found the victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Paramedics transported him to an area hospital.
Investigators learned the victim and Loredo-Gutierrez were involved in an argument prior to the shooting. The suspect fled the scene on foot.
The Harris County District Attorney’s Office was consulted and Loredo-Gutierrez was charged for his role in the shooting.
