| Charges have been filed against a suspect wanted in the shooting of a man at 12951 Willow Centre Drive about 1:20 a.m. on Wednesday (July 6).
The suspect, Ikea Danielle Lane, 25 is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and aggravated assault of a family member in the 184th State District Court.

The victim, Daniel Child, 40, was transported to an area hospital in stable condition.
HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Detective A. Shaikh reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting at a motel at the above address and found Mr. Child suffering from a gunshot wound. Officers were informed the victim and Lane were involved in an argument inside a room and she removed a gun from her purse. She walked out of the room and, as Child followed her, she shot him once.
A male in an adjacent room told officers Lane pointed the gun at him and threatened him as he tried to help Child. He was not physically injured.
The Harris County District Attorney’s Office was consulted and Lane was subsequently charged for her role in the incident.
