Suspect Charged, Wanted in September Stabbing of Woman at 4200 Lockfield Street

Charges have been filed against a suspect wanted in the stabbing of a woman at 4200 Lockfield Street about 9:40 p.m. on September 28, 2024.

The suspect, Claude Clifford McKoy, 27, is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in the 487th State District Court.  A photo of McKoy, who is not in custody, is attached to this news release.

The victim, 31, suffered multiple stab wounds and was transported to a hospital in critical condition.

HPD Major Assaults Division Detectives N. Aponte and A. Montoya reported:

Officers were dispatched to a shooting call at the apartment complex at the above address and observed paramedics providing first aid to a female victim in the parking lot.  It was determined the woman was not shot, but sustained major lacerations and stab wounds throughout her upper and lower body.  The victim was transported to a hospital.  The unknown suspect fled the scene before officers arrived.

Throughout the course of the Investigation, evidence was obtained identifying McKoy as the suspect.  On January 16, he was charged in the incident and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
