Charges have been filed against a suspect wanted in the fatal shooting of a man at 834 Little York Road about 4:30 p.m. on January 26.
The suspect, Oziel Ousbaldo Gonzalez, 46, is charged with murder in the 179th State District Court. He is not in custody. A photo of Gonzalez is attached to this news release.
The identity of the victim, 40, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives A. Graf and E. Torres reported:
Officers were dispatched to a shooting call at a game room at the above address and observed the unresponsive male victim on the floor. He had suffered more than one gunshot wound and was pronounced deceased by paramedics.
A witness stated the victim and suspect (Gonzalez) were in a dating relationship with the same woman. The victim and female were inside the business when Gonzalez approached them and shot the victim multiple times. Gonzalez then fled the scene in a gray Honda Ridgeline.
Detectives reviewed this case with members of the Harris County District Attorney’s Office and a charge of murder was filed on Gonzalez.
