Suspect Charged, Wanted in Fatal Shooting at 7550 Bellfort Avenue

Charges have been filed against a suspect wanted in the fatal shooting of two men at 7550 Bellfort Avenue about 11:05 a.m. on Sunday (June 26).

The suspect, Manuel Armando Villeda, 24, is charged with capital murder in the 208th State District Court.  A photo of Villeda is attached to this news release.  He is not in custody.

The identities of the two victims are pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant A. Lopez and Detective N. Sharp reported:

Officers were dispatched to a shooting call at a business at the above address and located one victim inside the business and the other victim just outside the building.  Both men had suffered multiple gunshot wounds and were pronounced deceased.

Detectives learned the identity of the suspect as Villeda, an employee of the business.  Villeda became involved in a physical altercation with one of the victims and shot the man.  When the victim’s friend attempted to come to his aid, Villeda fatally shot him.

Villeda fled the scene in a 2014 GMC Sierra, which was later recovered in north Houston.  He may be traveling in a secondary vehicle, a white Acura sedan with Texas license plates LPF-4265.
