Suspect Charged, Wanted in Fatal Shooting at 3309 Reeves Street

Charges have been filed against a suspect wanted in the fatal shooting of a man that occurred at 3309 Reeves Street about 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday (September 20).

The suspect, Caleb Solomon, 20, is charged with murder in the 338th State District Court.  A prior booking photo of Solomon, who is at-large, is attached to this news release.

The identity of the victim, 27, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Detectives A. Ledford, E. Torres and M. Barton reported:

HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting at the above address and found an unresponsive man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.  The victim was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

Further investigation and witness statements identified Solomon as the suspect in this case.  After consulting with the Harris County District Attorney’s Office, a murder charge was filed.
