Suspect Arrested, Charged in Woman’s Death at 4204 Russell Street

Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the death of a woman found at 4204 Russell Street about 9:20 a.m. on Monday (June 19).

The suspect, Mylon Louis Colquitt, 18, is charged with murder in the 351st State District Court.  A booking photo of Colquitt is attached to this news release.

He is accused in the death of a family member, 66, whose identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant R. Olive and Detective T. Tyler reported:

Officers conducted a welfare check at the residence at the above address after family members said they could not get in touch with the victim.  The responding officers found the victim unresponsive inside the residence.  Paramedics pronounced the woman deceased.  She had suffered head trauma.

Colquitt, a family member, was taken into custody at another location and was subsequently charged in the woman’s death.
