Suspect Arrested, Charged in Stabbing at 9941 Long Point Road

Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the stabbing of a man at 9941 Long Point Road about 8:50 p.m. on Thursday (April 25).

The suspect, Miguel Angel Alarcon Quezada, 50, is charged with aggravated assault causing serious bodily injury in the 263rd State District Court.  A booking photo of Alarcon Quezada – with injuries sustained in the incident – is attached to this news release.

The victim, 37, was transported to an area hospital in stable condition.

HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Detective C. Brown reported:

Officers were dispatched to a cutting call in a parking lot at the above address and learned the victim was stabbed at least one time by another male.  Officers found the male, Alarcon Quezada, nearby with the knife involved in the incident.  He had sustained injuries to his mouth and face.

Paramedics transported the victim and Alarcon Quezada to the hospital, where Alarcon Quezada was later released and taken to jail.  He was subsequently charged for his role in the stabbing.
