Suspect Arrested, Charged in Stabbing at 6565 Hollister Street

Charges have been filed against the suspect arrested in the stabbing of a man at 6565 Hollister Street at about 11:45 p.m. on Sunday (Oct. 27).

The suspect, Miguel Angel Marroquin, 37, is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon  in the 182nd State District Court. A booking photo of Marroquin is attached to this news release.

The victim, 27, is expected to survive his injuries.

HPD Major Assaults and Family Violence Division detective C. Grahmann reported:

The victim and Marroquin were involved in a verbal argument in an apartment at an apartment complex at the above address. The argument escalated into a physical altercation and Marroquin stabbed the victim multiple times.

Paramedics transported the victim to an area hospital in stable condition.

Officers detained Marroquin, consulted the Harris County District Attorney’s office, and he was subsequently charged and booked into the Harris County Jail.
