Suspect Arrested, Charged in Stabbing at 619 Saddle Rock Drive

Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the stabbing of a man at 619 Saddle Rock Drive about 10 a.m. on Sunday (January 20).

The suspect, John Anthony Buchanan (b/m, 30) is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in the 179th State District Court.  He is accused in the stabbing of Turner Gosier, 62, who was transported to an area hospital in stable condition.

HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Officer K. Persad reported:

HPD patrol officers responded to a stabbing call at the above address and met with the suspect (Buchanan) who was on the property and had a knife in his pocket.

Further investigation determined Mr. Gosier was inside the residence and had been stabbed in the neck.  He was transported by Houston Fire Department paramedics to the hospital.  Investigators spoke to Gosier and other witnesses and subsequently charged Buchanan for his role in the incident.
