| Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the stabbing of a man at 5900 Guhn Road about 9 a.m. on Sunday (September 5).
The suspect, Alexander John Beare (w/m, 20), is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in the 209th State District Court. A booking photo of Beare is attached to this news release.
The victim, 61, was transported to an area hospital in stable condition.
HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Detective C. Brannen reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a stabbing at at the above address and found the victim had been stabbed in the back. Houston Fire Department paramedics transported the victim to the hospital.
Witnesses stated the suspect, later identified as Beare, fled northbound to a hotel on Guhn Road. Officers located Beare and took him into custody without further incident. Beare was subsequently charged for his role in the stabbing.
