Suspect Arrested, Charged in Stabbing at 5147 Indigo Street

Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the stabbing of two men at 5147 Indigo Street about 5:25 p.m. on Sunday (March 7).

The suspect, Gregory Hill (w/m, 23) is charged with two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in the 232nd State District Court. A booking photo of Hill is not available at this time, as he remains hospitalized.

He is accused in the stabbing of Charles McGarraugh, 25, and Samuel Husseinzadeh, 23, who were transported to an area hospital in stable condition.

HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Officer A. Williams reported:

HPD patrol officers responded to a disturbance at the above address and learned Messrs. McGarraugh and Husseinzadeh live with Hill, who recently was evicted form the above address. Hill jumped the fence and turned the power off outside the residence. The three men then got into a physical fight, during which Hill produced a knife and stabbed both men. One of the victims stabbed Hill in self -defense.

Houston Fire Department paramedics transported McGarraugh and Husseinzadeh to the hospital. Hill checked himself into an area hospital with non-life-threatening wounds. HPD officers were advised of his location and he was subsequently charged for his role in the incident.
