Suspect Arrested, Charged in Stabbing at 10300 Harwin Drive

Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the stabbing of a woman at 10300 Harwin Drive about 9:30 p.m. on Thursday (January 14).  

The suspect, Kevin Alvarado (H/m 25), is charged with aggravated assault of a family member in the 180th State District Court.  A booking photo of Alvarado is attached to this news release.  

The victim, 19, was transported to an area hospital to be treated for her wounds.

HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Officer V. Garza reported:

The victim was stabbed multiple times in the face, chest and neck by her boyfriend, Alvarado, in an apartment at the above address.

Alvarado’s parents were able to take the knife from him and managed to hold him down until HPD patrol officers responded to the scene.  Houston Fire Department paramedics were called and transported the victim to the hospital.

Alvarado was taken into custody and subsequently charged for his role in the incident.
