Suspect Arrested, Charged in Shooting at 7707 West Sam Houston Parkway South

Charges have ben filed against a suspect arrested in the shooting of a woman at 7707 West Sam Houston Parkway South (Beltway 8) about 6:50 a.m. on Tuesday (June 29).

The suspect, Tatiana Jamesha Cook (b/f, 24), is charged with aggravated assault of a family member in the 177th State District Court.  She is accused in the shooting of Kelli Williams, 29, who was transported to an area hospital in stable condition.

HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Officer A. Williams reported:

HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting at a motel at the above address and learned Ms. Williams and Cook, who were in a dating relationship, got into a domestic dispute.  During the argument, Cook pulled out a gun and shot Williams.  Houston Fire Department paramedics transported Williams to the hospital.

Officers recovered the gun and took Cook into custody.  Cook admitted to her role in the shooting of Williams and was subsequently charged in the incident.
