Suspect Arrested, Charged in Shooting at 5602 Hirsch Road

Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the shooting of a woman at 5602 Hirsch Road about 3 a.m. last Friday (Jan. 1).

The suspect, Christopher John Pascoe (w/m, 34), is charged with aggravated assault of a family member in the 178th State District Court.  A booking photo of Pascoe, who remains hospitalized, is not available at this time.

The victim, Ashley Nealy, 32, was transported to an area hospital in stable condition.

HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Officer A. Golden reported:

Ms. Nealy and Pascoe got into an argument over their recent break-up.  Pascoe physically assaulted Nealy by striking her with a closed fist.  Soon after, he pulled a pistol and shot himself near his jaw.  Pascoe then walked toward Nealy and shot her in the head.  She sustained a graze wound.  Paramedics transported both individuals to an area hospital for treatment.
