HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Detective T. Johnson reported:

HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting call at the residence at the above address and learned the victim had been shot.  He was transported by Houston Fire Department paramedics to an area hospital.  A suspect, who suffered lacerations to his hand, was detained at the scene

Further investigation determined the victim arrived home and noticed some of his leather coats were missing.  Armed with and waving a knife around, he confronted his younger brother (Richardson).  During the argument, Richardson pulled out a gun.  When the victim cut Richardson with the knife, Richardson shot him one time.

Richardson was detained at the scene and subsequently charged for his role in the shooting.
