HPD Homicide Division Detective K. Saulsberry reported:

A male and his family went tot a tire shop at the above address to get their vehicle tire serviced.  The male got into an argument with two employees of the business regarding service provided and threatened to file a complaint against them for their rude conduct.  The male then left the business.

As he was pulling out of the driveway, Thomas ran and jumped on the hood of the vehicle and began banging on the windshield.  The male stopped his vehicle and Thomas continued to taunt the male to step out of the vehicle.  The male drove away from Thomas, who then pulled out a gun and fired several shots at the rear of the vehicle.  A bullet fragment struck Demariyae in the arm.  The male saw his son was struck and drove to the hospital for treatment.  Thomas was detained at the scene by responding HPD officers and subsequently charged for his role in the shooting.
