Houston police have arrested a suspect charged in the shooting of a man that occurred at 10440 South Drive about 2 a.m. today (January 28).
The suspect, Edwin Isaac Aguila (w/m, 23), is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in the 232nd State District Court. A booking photo of Aguila is attached to this news release.
Aguila is accused in the shooting of Osmen Mar, 18, who is currently in critical condition.
HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence reported:
Mr. Mar, who was intoxicated, was visiting his girlfriend at the above address and got angry when she asked him to leave. Mar began breaking windows and damaging his girlfriend’s vehicle. She then called Aguila, her ex-boyfriend who she has a child with. Aguila then drove to the location, showed a gun and fired one shot, striking Mar in the head. Aguila was arrested at the scene.
