Suspect Arrested, Charged In Serial Sex Assault

Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested responsible for at least three sexual assault cases that occurred between October 2021 and January 2022 and Houston Police believe there may be more victims.

Uffot Emem Williams, 31, is charged with three counts of sexual assault in the 209th State District Court. A booking photo of Williams is attached to this news release.

HPD Special Victims Division – Adult Sex Crimes Detective R. Chapa reported:

In each case, the known victims, black females between 25 and 30 years of age, stated they met Williams online and went on a date with him. They reported feeling intoxicated after consuming a drink brought to them by Williams. The women then woke up alone the next morning in a hotel and unclothed from the waist down.

DNA evidence from all three cases was collected and subsequently linked to Williams. On May 15, Williams was charged and subsequently arrested.

Investigators believe Williams may be responsible for other sexual assaults and was known to frequent the Richmond/Westheimer area. He frequently used a motel in the 10800 block of Main Street.

Anyone who might have had contact with Williams or has additional information in these cases is urged to contact the HPD Adult Sex Crimes Unit at 713-308-1100 or our Victim Services Division at 713-308-0080.
