Suspect Arrested, Charged in Male’s Death at 2409 Grant Road

Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the death of one male and wounding of another man at 2409 Grant Road about 2:20 a.m. today (March 22).

The suspect, Cordale Robinson (b/m, 25), is charged with murder and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in the 339th State District Court.  A booking photo of Robinson is attached to this news release.

The identity of the deceased male victim is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Officers V. Habukiha and C. Bowling reported:

A large group of males got into an altercation in the parking lot of a night club at the above address.  Robinson got into his friend's vehicle, a 2011 silver Dodge Avenger, and drove through the parking lot at least twice, intentionally striking pedestrians and two vehicles.  One male was transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital where he was pronounced deceased. A second victim, 23, was transported to an area hospital with injuries to his right leg and torso.

Robinson was still at the scene prior to HPD patrol officers arriving and was taken into custody without further incident.
