Suspect Arrested, Charged in Fatal Stabbing at 7015 Woodsman Trail

Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the fatal stabbing of a woman at 7015 Woodsman Trail about 11 p.m. on Wednesday (March 23).  

The suspect, Francisco Leon Jimenez, 51, is charged with murder in the 179th State District Court.  He is accused in the death of his wife, Yennis Olga Llanes Garcia, 35.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeants K. Meek and T. Simmons reported:

HPD patrol officers responded to a reported stabbing at an apartment complex at the above address and found Ms. Llanes Garcia suffering from multiple stab wounds.  Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced Llanes Garcia deceased.  HFD personnel advised responding officers that a male suspect, later identified as Jimenez, fled the scene in a black Cadillac SUV.  HPD officers quickly located the vehicle and conducted a felony traffic stop in the 8000 block of Antoine where Jimenez was taken into custody without further incident.

The couple’s daughter, 13, and two additional witnesses were present during the incident.  None of these individuals were injured.
