Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the fatal shooting of a man and a woman at 9621 Bissonnet Street about 4:40 a.m. last Friday (Dec. 25).
The suspect, Dixon Geovany Bulnes (b/m, 33), is charged with capital murder in the 180th State District Court. A booking photo of Bulnes is attached to this news release.
The female victim, Kisha Brown-Garcia, 24, was pronounced deceased at the scene. The male victim, Pablo Martinez, 26, was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives W. Huff and J. Nguyen reported:
Officers were dispatched to a shooting call at a restaurant at the above address and found Ms. Brown-Garcia and Mr. Martinez inside the business. Both had suffered gunshot wounds.
Further investigation led to the identity of Bulnes as the suspect in this case and he was arrested on Saturday (Dec. 26) without incident.
