| Charges have ben filed against a suspect arrested in the fatal shooting of a man found at 8605 Westheimer Road about 9:10 p.m. on October 1.
Kashif Bishop, 34, is charged with murder in the 177th State District Court. A booking photo of Bishop is attached to this news release.
He is accused in the death of Marcos Arevalo, 39.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives A. Ledford and E. Torres reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting at the above address and found the victim lying on the sidewalk. Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and transported the victim, later identified as Mr. Arevalo to Memorial Hermann – Texas Medical Center, where he was pronounced deceased.
Further investigation led to the identification of Bishop as the suspect and, on Thursday (Dec. 1), he was charged in the case. Bishop was in custody at the Harris County Jail on an unrelated charge.
