Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the fatal shooting of a man at 5600 Antoine Drive about 7:10 p.m. on Wednesday (April 5).
The suspect, Christopher Pete Santos, 21, is charged with murder in the 185th State District Court. A booking photo of Santos is attached to this news release.
The identity of the victim is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant N. Lazo and Detective L. Osborn reported:
Officers received multiple calls regarding a minor crash and shooting at the above address and arrived to find the victim with more than one gunshot wound. Paramedics pronounced the man deceased at the scene.
The officers detained the shooter (Santos) and recovered the weapon used at the scene.
Detectives interviewed witnesses and learned the victim and suspect were involved in a minor crash that escalated into a verbal argument, which then resulted in Santos shooting the victim multiple times. Santos was taken into custody and subsequently charged in the incident.
