Suspect Arrested, Charged in Fatal Shooting at 3925 Arlington Square

Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the fatal shooting of a man at 3925 Arlington Square about 1:50 p.m. on Sunday (April 7).

The suspect, Salvador Casillas Aguiano, 62, is charged with murder in the 263rd State District Court. Casillas Aguiano’s booking photo is attached to this news release.

The identity of the victim, 33, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences

HPD Homicide Division Detectives D. Davis and M. Althaus reported:

HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting at an apartment complex at the above address and found an unresponsive man with a gunshot wound lying in the parking lot. Houston Fire Department paramedics transported the man to an area hospital where he was pronounced deceased.  The unknown suspect fled the scene.

Further investigation, witness statements and evidence from the scene identified Casillas-Anguiano as the suspect in this case.  Casillas-Anguiano originally fled the scene, but later turned himself in.  The Harris County District Attorney’s Office was contacted and Casillas-Anguiano was arrested and charged for his role in the shooting.
