Suspect Arrested, Charged in Fatal Shooting at 1300 North Post Oak Road

Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the fatal shooting of a man and a woman at 1300 North Post Oak Road about 10:45 p.m. on Saturday (June 22).

The suspect, Gustavo Flores, 40, is charged with capital murder in the 263rd State District Court.  A booking photo of Flores, courtesy of the Victoria County Jail, is attached to this news release..

The identities of the man, 22, and the woman, 40, are pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Detectives K. Hale and A. Ledford reported:

HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting call in a parking lot at the above address and found an unresponsive male and female with gunshot wounds.  Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced the victims deceased.

Further investigation and witness statements developed information on the suspect, identified as Flores, and his vehicle.  Approximately two hours later, Victory County Sheriff’s Office deputies conducted a traffic stop on Flores’ vehicle and he was arrested without incident.  He was then booked into the Victoria County Jail and is awaiting transport back to Harris County.
