| Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the fatal shooting of a male about 8:45 p.m. on Monday (June 21).
The suspect, Michael Serefino Flores (H/m, 27), is charged with murder in the 184th State District Court. A booking photo of Flores is attached to this news release.
The identity of the victim is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant M. Glover and Detectives E. Rossow and L. Palma reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting at an apartment complex at the above address and learned there had been an argument and physical confrontation between adult family members. At some point, Flores retrieved a handgun and fatally shot the victim multiple times.
Flores was detained at the scene without incident and subsequently charged for his role in the shooting.
