Suspect Arrested, Charged in Fatal Crash at 400 North Wilcrest Drive

Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in a fatal crash at 400 North Wilcrest Drive about 4:35 a.m. today (Feb. 21).

The suspect, Ana Flores (H/f, 29), is charged with intoxication manslaughter in the 248th State District Court.  A booking photo of Flores, who is hospitalized, is not available at this time.

The identity of the deceased male victim, 34, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant D. Rodriguez and Officer M. Ramos reported:

Flores was driving a gray GMC Sierra pickup truck southbound and speeding near the above address when the truck left the roadway and struck a tree.  The victim, the front passenger, was pronounced deceased at the scene.  The back male passenger, 28, was transported to an area hospital with minor injuries.

Flores admitted she consumed alcohol and was transported to a hospital for treatment of a broken arm and ankle.  She was determined to be intoxicated and was subsequently charged.
