Suspect Arrested, Charged in Fatal Crash at 2600 South Kirkwood Road

Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in a fatal hit-and-run crash at 2600 South Kirkwood Road about 9:15 p.m. last Friday (March 15).

The suspect Misty D. Devall, 42, is charged with failure to stop and render aid involving a death in the 230th State District Court. A booking photo of Devall is attached to this news release.

The deceased male is identified as Cristian Wilson, 31

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant J. Richards and Officer T. Pham reported:

Mr. Wilson was attempting to cross the road at the above address – not at an intersection – when he was struck by an unknown vehicle traveling northbound.  The vehicle did not stop and fled the scene.  Houston Fire Department paramedics transported Wilson to an area hospital where doctors pronounced him deceased.

Further investigation identified Devall as the suspect in this incident. Officers also located the suspect’s red Toyota Camry with front end damage.

The Harris County District Attorney’s Office was consulted and Devall was subsequently charged for her role in this incident.
